Recently I have been introduced to True Lad, this site is a chronicle of what some young men believe is banter and funny actions, for the most part this appears to be true, some of the posts i do find genuinely amusing and i have quoted some of the story to friends, however there are a select few posts that i find disgusting. The posts i'm referring to are the ones where a "lad" has insulted their girlfriend or alike in order to go out with their mates; it makes me wonder why these women are ever attracted to men like these; at my school there are a select group of males whom the whole school are less then keen on, however they seem to be the ones attracting the attention, even after they have cheated on their girlfriend they always seem to be dating a new girl a week later; are women attracted to men like that, if so i have no idea why.
Carrying on from this theme i have more to bitch about, my next target is Ascot week, there are a number of signs through out Windsor great park which advertise fine dining at Ascot week from a mere £245, my question is if you can afford this amount of money why not spend it on something worthwhile than lavishly throwing it at one meal, instead why not give it to charity, i know that's what i would do instead of that one meal. Unfortunately this seems to be an all to common theme through out the world. Take football as an example, the Man City team that won the F.A cup recently was compiled from some of the world's best players at a cost of nearly £150 million, this is an insane amount of money and add on to that the cost of the players salary then the money involved is mind boggling, that money could improve so many lives; the unequal distribution of wealth throughout the world is one of the reasons why so many people suffer.
I'm starting to enjoy this bitching session, its quite relaxing really, and even if you don't share my views i implore you to write a similar blog post about what you see as wrong in the world, there's no need for you to try and change it, just express your point of view. my next bitching point is corruption, recently it has come to light that Sepp Blater, the president of FIFA is a crooked bastard, there's a theme here, my dislike of football, it turns out he took some money or did something and now everyone hates him. Well he deserves it in my opinion. This also leads me onto the corruption of our own government, for a while now we have been raging over our elected MPs stealing money through falsely claiming their expenses, recently one was convicted and given 12 months in jail for his crime, his excuse was that everyone was doing it so he thought it was alright, an excuse similar to the one the Nazi's used at Nuremberg, are the politicians really that much different to the Nazi's.
My final bitch is about celebrities and their actions and the belief they have that they deserve privacy when they caught out, i'm talking about injunction and super injunctions of course, why do celebrities such as Andrew Marr and Ryan Giggs believe they deserve privacy when they've done something wrong, why should their indiscretion be hidden by the law; its a massive waste of time and money, especially when the courts should be doing something more important, like prosecuting criminals. It's the celebrities fault that they couldn't keep it in their trousers, not the newspapers for reporting it.
Finally i'd like to say well done to my friend Tom who managed to pass his flying test today, he's worked very hard and passed many exams to allow him to get this far, although if i'm honest i'm still not sure over the safety record of light aircraft.
